Myke Penney, owner and operator of Tonehenge Recording based in Guelph ON, is a singer, guitarist, writer and producer/recording engineer. With a great passion and hunger for music, he is the visionary behind the rock band he created called The Jailbirds. He is also the lead guitarist of The Wild High, a brand new band put together by Monster Truck’s Jon Harvey, which is quickly rising up in the local music scene. Myke studied at the Music Industry Arts (M.I.A) Program at Fanshawe college for recording engineering and music business, and has learned from many years of experience playing in bands, recording and touring the country, which gives him a unique edge in a recording studio setting.

Some examples of recent work, all recorded, produced and mixed by Myke at Tonehenge Recording. “Hell Yeah” by Andy Colonico was the first released single from the studio, and has since gone on to have massive success across FM radio in Canada, as well as regular placement on SiriusXM. “Can’t Put A Price” by Small Town Strip Club and Andy Colonico in rotation on CBC Listen Canadian Country.
